Kuujjuaq, September 7 and 8: two days in the field with our client, the Kativik Regional Government / Administration régionale Kativik (KRG/ARK), to review the progress of a project that is redefining its records management.

This large-scale project includes:
– The digitization of a large number of boxes, with a view to creating digital replacements
– The implementation of a structured document management system, including support for the deployment of specialized software
– The creation of a classification plan and a retention schedule
– Drafting governance documents
– User training

The ARK plays a central role in a vast territory north of the 55th parallel, with responsibilities in municipal affairs, transportation, the environment, police services, employment, income support, child care, renewable resources, land use planning, civil protection, and economic development.
A mandate that requires a deep understanding of this unique territorial reality, as highlighted by Ian Hernandez, director of operations, and Dina Babouder, MSI Information Management Consultant, who are leading the project.

This visit helped strengthen our collaboration with the KRG/ARK, while reaffirming our belief that sustainable records management is always tailored to the realities on the ground.
